Music Brought Them Together

Formed in 2007, BBSC brings together clinicians and caregivers who share a love of music and a commitment to supporting children and families affected by congenital heart disease. The members of BBSC have found each other through a mutual interest in caring for children and their families, as well as a love of music and the performing arts. Members often reunite around major medical meetings, gathering for brief, intensive rehearsals and performing jazz, pop, blues, rock, singer-songwriter, musical theater, and classical traditions.

More than 100 performers from 18 countries have participated in BBSC performances and recordings, with proceeds supporting family-centered programs including child life services, music therapy, travel assistance, and other resources not typically covered by medical care.
